Singer-songwriter, The-Dream opened up recently to speak about his tumultuous personal life as of lately and how his divorce from C-Milli has inspired better music.
After, The-Dream and Christina Milian divorce went public and caused him much anguish, he admitted that he has learned from all the marriage problems.
The-Dream, born Terius Youngdell Nash, went on to talk about his personal battles with the SPLIT, revealing that he suffered from suicidal thoughts in an open letter to his fans on his website.
However, The-Dream recently spoke with VIBE to explain that his divorce has had a positive effect on his music and deepened the emotional depth.

You already know The-Dream is dropping a free Internet album entitled Terius Nash Est. 1977, before his follow-up album The Love IV: Diary of a Mad Man is set to drop in the fall.
But Dream announced last year that he was NEVER making another LP, guess that was short-lived.
Now, The-Dream say he’s been struggling to find artists to fit into his vision. He also addresses why he doesn’t work with as many guest stars or contemporaries.

The-Dream Puts Hold On The Love IV: Diary of a Mad Man And Will Drop Free LP On The Net
The-Dream has been hard at work at his senior LP The Love IV: Diary of a Mad Man, which has been pushed back.
The-Dream’s forth album was scheduled for late September, but the singer/producer said the album is on hold now.
Dream took to his Twitter on Monday (August 1), explaining that a release date for the album is currently unknown, due to “contract negotiations.” For now, Dream plans to release a free album called Terius Nash Est. 1977 for fans.
Didn’t The-Dream Say He Was No Longer Making Solo Albums?
Well, we see The-Dream’s statement that he was never going to make another album wasn’t entirely true. He made the statement after the Aaliyah controversy, but maybe, it was the simple fact that his last album bombed horribly.
Now the smooth crooner states he will be releasing his fourth solo album, The Love, IV (Diary of a Mad Man), which is due to drop on his birthday, September 20th. Hopefully, this one wasn’t rushed like his previous effort, Love King, that was not well received by fans.
Oh, how interesting artists can be when making statements we all know they don’t keep just like The-Dream, who has announced his upcoming fourth solo album, The Love, IV (Diary of a Mad Man). His first song from the LP, “T.T.S,” will feature R. Kelly and is set to release in a few weeks.
